SUNDAY, SEP 21, 1-4PM: the Grand Re-Opening Celebration for the new Crocker Amazon Soccer Fields at Crocker Amazon Playground (Geneva Avenue Between Prague and Stoneridge) in San Francisco, hosted by our Rec & Park Department and CityFields Foundation.

The ribbon-cutting will be at 2pm, but that’s just part of an afternoon of free family fun, sports, music, and activities. All afternoon, the five-field sports complex at the southern end of the park will feature the San Jose Earthquake’s inflatable “dribble zone,” lacrosse skills, youth soccer clinics, a tot play area with a parachute and hula hoops, and three open fields for rotating youth and adult walk-up soccer games. We’ll have prizes for kids who complete each activity (water bottles, t-shirts and soccer balls) and a free raffle at the end of the day. It’s going to be a great day!
