Come join us for the 5th Annual Excelsior District Jerry Garcia Birthday Celebration - Jerry Day 2007!
Presented by the Excelsior Cultural Group and San Francisco Parks Trust, this event will honor the life, art, and music of Jerry Garcia and raise awareness for his childhood neighborhood, the Excelsior District. This Free annual event is held at the wonderful Jerry Garcia Amphitheater, which is just a few blocks from his childhood home. Featured at this year's event will be Melvin Seals and the JGB Band. Melvin, who played with Jerry for 15 years in the Jerry Garcia Band, also grew up near the Amphitheater. When he's not traveling, he usually plays at some of the local neighborhood churches. Also featured on the bill is Workingman's Ed and Jelly.
The event starts at 12noon and ends at 6pm.

40 Year Anniversary of the Summer of Love
